Warnell is home to the Harley Langdale Jr. Center for Forest Business, which provides national leadership in education, research, and service to the forest industry, private landowners, and the state of Georgia. The center also offers a Master of Forest Resources degree.

Research explores safer routes for logging trucks

Every mile logging trucks travel adds to the overall cost of the timber. Warnell research is measuring the benefits of shifting log trucks from back roads to interstate highways, which includes safer routes off local roads, minimize wear and tear, and cost savings for timber producers.
