Deb Hawkinson joined the Forest Resources Association (FRA) as President in July 2012. In this role, she oversees National Office administration, member relations, financial accountability, and FRA’s three field offices. As a result of Hawkinson’s leadership, FRA’s business and public policy goals are more closely aligned.
She also increased members’ political involvement around federal priority issues, including the development of a successful grassroots program. While advancing advocacy within the association, she continues to ensure FRA’s strength in addressing forest operations challenges and enhancing supply chain relations.
Hawkinson’s career representing the forest products industry in Washington, DC spans more than 20 years. She has a strong background in association management and public policy, successfully advancing advocacy efforts for industry issues and increasing member political activism.
Hawkinson holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Organizational Leadership and Development from Regent University and studied Association Management at George Mason University’s School of Public and International Affairs.
